As a whole, the Farming Investment Fund contains £25 million up for grants. The range of funding is expansive, from £35,000 going up to £500,000.

  • Reducing greenhouse emissions.

You can apply if you:

  • Are a farming or agricultural contracting business registered in England
  • Will do the grant-funded work in England

You can only use the grant if you’re focused on purchasing robotics and innovation equipment.

Why has the funding become available?

All of these funds are part of the government’s plan to reach net-zero in greenhouse emissions by the year 2050. The farming industry will play a pivotal role in beating back climate change.

Related to this, there’s been a £124 million boost to the ‘Nature for Climate’ Fund. This fund aims to restore 280,000 hectares of peat. The government also wishes to treble woodland creation in England.
